Clip-on Earrings with Round Blue Stones and Poppies
Description
Clip-on earrings with round sky blue faceted glass stones, small hand-painted red poppy flower adorned with a black crystal in the centre.
New collection in partnership with the Musée d'Orsay, inspired by Claude Monet's painting The Poppy Field Near Argenteuil. The craftsmen, gouache artists and jewellers at Les Néréides have worked with the utmost dedication to pay tribute to this summer moment captured over 150 years ago by the famous Impressionist painter.
In the still very rural Argenteuil of the late 19th century, Monet lived a peaceful life. It was then a small town of boaters, winegrowers and artists, where summer walks along the Seine provided inspiration for his painting. Immortalised in one of his most famous works, The Poppy Field Near Argenteuil, the surrounding countryside vibrates with warm winds, laughter and floral scents under his brush. It is with
the utmost care that the gouache artists, enamellers and jewellers at La Maison les Néréides sought to honour this summer moment captured just over 150 years ago and yet still as vivid as ever. We once again find the calm of the azure sky enthroned above the exhilarating red of the poppies and the gold hues of the wheat and wildflowers.

About Les Néréides
Our Expertise
Each piece of jewelry is born from a design straight from the imagination of the creators. As in fine jewelry, the pieces are “gouached”. The jewelry is then manufactured and subtly painted by hand using the enamelling technique. Each floral or animal detail is colored with a brush with great subtlety in the choice of colors. A meticulous task, where every detail is the result of the handwork of an artisan. Through this work on gesture, each piece is unique.
