PARIS OPERA
To celebrate its 150th anniversary, the Palais Garnier has commissioned La Maison
les Néréides to embody the spirit of the Opera in three distinct sets of jewelry. The
slippers and ribbons are all gold-plated and delicately adorned with faceted glass -
timeless essentials for those who want to be the most beautiful to go dancing. You
could even ask for them to accompany you to the most iconic of the romantic ballets,
celebrated here: Giselle.
We're immersed in a clearing where moonlit lilies bloom. There, on the shimmering
banks of pale blue water, the Wilis, diaphanous and ethereal nymphs, dance until
dawn. Some of them weave flower wreaths as they sing their melody, which is as
beautiful as it is sinister, occasionally letting a tear fall from their eyes. The tears
crystallize in their hands and the flowers curl up in them, a testament to a love that is
forever pure and protected. Wear them as you please, but beware lest they drag you
down with them, trapped in their graceful tulle.
